Absolute Encoder AV3650M & AH3650M –

The absolute rotary encoders AV3650M and AH3650M combine precise and reliable position measurement with an extremely compact housing. With the 36mm housing design, even applications with limited space can be realized.

The WV3650M & WH3650M are extremely compact, magnetic rotary encoders which are available in either single or multiturn versions. Thanks to the IO-Link interface and smart features, the encoders represent a future-proof solution for Industry 4.0 concepts.

Absolute Encoder WV5850 & WH5850 –

with EtherNet/IP or ProfiNET IO Interface

The absolute rotary encoders WV5850 and WH5850 are particularly high-resolution and designed for time-critical applications. Thanks to the short reaction times and 100% magnetic insensitivity, they are ideally suited for use in drive technology, warehouse technology and factory automation.

MAGLINE

 

Customer Application ”Body Scanner”

This body scanner generates stereo radiographic images with low radiation dose for gentle patient examination. A scan creates frontal and lateral images. The unique image resolution is supported by a high-resolution photon counting detector.

The biplanar design and vertical scanning allow the entire body to be captured with precise 2D and 3D measurements.

 

 

 

Mounting in the Application

Two encoders MSA111C are robustly mounted on a linear  axis in the application. This high-precision axis with a low tolerance allows the 1 mm system to be installed and the  encoder-band distance of ≤0.3 mm to be maintained. The total length of the axis is 2.3 m. The complete project is  realized with the linear axis manufacturer.Our MSA213C or the identically constructed MSA213K could also be used here. Due to the longer concept phase of  three years, the MSA111C, which was already available  was installed here. 

 

 

Integrated absolute Encoder

Both of our high resolution 1mm absolute encoder MSA111C with matching magnetic band MBA111 are installed in the scanner. They can move the scanner with high accuracy up to ±10 µm.

Due to the coded magnetic tape and the resulting absolute position values, the system never needs to be referenced.
